Roger is the fifth player who has worn the Tricolor shirt the most, with 505 appearances from 1994 to 2003. In addition, he won 12 titles with the club (four State championships, three Copa do Brasil, one Brasileirão, and one Libertadores), which earned him a place in the club’s hall of fame.

Undefeated champion with Colorado in the Brasileirão of 1979, Mário Sérgio moved to Grêmio to compete in the Club World Cup of 1983. The Tricolor became champions after defeating Hamburgo from Germany 2-1. The former player and commentator passed away in 2016 in the Chapecoense airplane disaster.
Mauro Galvão
Historical Vasco da Gama defender, Mauro Galvão was a Brazilian champion with Internacional in 1979 before joining Grêmio and winning the Brasileirão in 1996 and the Copa do Brasil in 1997 and 2001. He was awarded the Bola de Prata by Revista PLACAR for both clubs in 1979 and 1997.

Coach in two World Cups with the Brazilian national team, Tite began his successful coaching career at Grêmio.
Winner of the 2001 Copa do Brasil – with Roger at left-back -, the coach moved to Internacional in 2008, where he won the Copa Sul-Americana, becoming the first Brazilian club to achieve this title.
Tinga
Midfielder who began his career at Grêmio, was a champion of the 2001 Copa do Brasil with Grêmio. Later, he moved to Internacional, where he won multiple titles.
Other notable names
Rubens Minelli, Valdir Espinosa, Carlos Miguel, Bolívar, Giuliano, and Dida are other names that have passed through both clubs. Currently, Edenílson, a midfielder at Tricolor, has also played for Internacional.
